Natyalaya in Turkey

 

Natyalaya was founded in Kerala State in India in 1964 under the direction of Shrimathi Kalamandalam Sumathi.

Today, apart from the main school, there are also three branches in Kerala, three in United Arab Emirates, three in Brazil and one in Turkey.

Shrimathi Kalamandalam Sumathi

Kalamandalam Sumathi is a very well known Classical Indian Dancer exponent with disciples spread all over the world.

She prooves, teaching all, without making diference on their culture, country or background that art and culture don't belong to any place or time but is universal.

Patricia Romano

Patricia Romano is Kalamandam Sumathi's disciple and since 1996 directs the Natyalaya's Brazilian branch in Brazil, the first western branch.

She is an exponent in Classical Indian Dance and is supported by the Indian Consulate and Embassy in Brazil, the Indian Embassy in Venezuela and the Indian Consulate in Turkey.

Her Group is considered the best in Latin America but has been also performing in India, where the famous Indian newspapers, Malayala Manorama and Mathroo Bhoomi, published excelent critics about her good work in India.

Fatosh Hardacre

Fatosh is Patricia Romano's disciple since 2002 and met her teacher when she was living in Brazil. With the blessings from her Teacher and their Guru Shrimathi Kalamandalam Sumathi, Fatosh runs in Istanbul the Natyalaya's Turkish branch.
